Back to the arts

So this is just gonna be a short post that i wanted to put up!

Just now when i got home, i came across the scene of my dad discussing w my mum what performances to watch. It was based off the silver arts thingy and it was really heartening to see them so interested to take the time to attend all these performances.

My dad, someone who fell asleep for a short while in nutcracker, and has probably fallen asleep in many other performances before, is over there asking my mum to hurry up decide so that he can get tickets for a performance.

Makes me wonder how much they actually enjoy the arts? Growing up, i barely saw them go for anything to do with the arts apart from my dance concert (i emphasise conCERT without the the s because i only had one ._.) And all those secondary/primary school performances by cousins and everything. It makes me wonder, how much did they give up? Im sure they were both busy when we were kids. They probably didnt have the time to go for all these. And now that they're older, they're starting to take things slower and i guess it's just quite heartening and nice to see?

Idk how to ever tell it to their faces, but one of my biggest goals in life is to be able to give my parents a comfortable life. I know i always talk about not gonna give them money in the future cos i'll be broke as well, but really i wanna be able to send my parents on holidays that they dont have to spend their own money on. I want to be able to go on holidays with them and pay for everything, just like how they're doing for me right now.

It'll take time and effort and sacrifice. But i wanna see it happen some day (:
