170220 ~ dye dye dye

aaaaaa i have so many things to blog about but i just keep procrastinating on doing it ))): also like idk i think bc i was so hooked onto dots that like a lot of the time i just end up watching eps or reruns or certain cuts of scenes of something. i'm much more active on my private insta where i also talk abt life (@missingseoul). i may change the un in the future as of now it's still undecided. it's private but eh i guess whoever's even reading this in the future will be able to crack the code or whatever to go view it HAHA. i have nth to hide there tho it's just rly a spam acc where i talk abt my daily shizz so yeah. not like there're any juicy secrets hidden there HAHA

I FINALLY DYED MY HAIR OMG EVER SINCE TALKING ABT IT DURING O'S, I'VE FINALLY MANAGED TO DYE MY HAIR!!!!!! initially mummy and daddy were super super against me dyeing my hair which is why i never got around doing it back then in o's (that and also bc i went jc and not poly HAHA). but then like idk leh. there was one day i went to guardian w mummy to check out stuff bc there was a 20% discount and i was just looking at the bottle of hair dye and mummy was just like "ur hair need how much?" and i was like w0t. but then she was just like 'buy lor any extra i use' and i was so shocked omg i rly couldn't believe my mum was telling me that hahah >< but yeah we rly ended up buying it and since it was on sale and mummy had coupons and everything, i think we paid less than a dollar or so for it???? hahhahah

this is the dye i got, the very cliche liese 泡泡染发剂 xD

it's their new colour! red velvet!!! 

yes, i snickered at the name of the dye for a moment bc rv HAHAHHAHA xD but yeah anyway that day when i dyed my hair, i was waiting for mummy and daddy to come home first bc my hair is rly short so like i dont think i need the whole bottle???? then like the rest maybe can give mummy or smth if  there's enough. although i didn't rly know ah since like the instructions say that for short hair it'll use abt three quarters? then long hair probs 2 bottles or smth. 

this is supPOSEDLY how my hair should look after the dyeing but eh, i didn't really believe in it ah bc my hair is so dark so rly i dont think much will show but oh well it doesn't hurt to try hahaha

the gigantic white bottle is where all the dye goes. i think it contains the activator or smth??? 

the black bottle is the dye itself.

the pink thingy is the cap to screw onto the white bottle in order to get it to foam hahahha 

then the pink packet is the after colour conditioner (?) 

and the last packet that is half orange is like the instruction sheet and gloves and allergy test thing and everything :3 

this is the allergy test patch thingy that i'm supPOSED to do but ofc i didn't la HAHAHHAH should though i guess if one has really sensitive skin but imma strong gurlie LMAO JK 

omg by this point this sounds like i'm doing a review for liese or smth HAHAH tbh this is just a blogpost recording this milestone in my life (first time dyeing!!!!! x)) but oh wells it can be taken as a review or a walkthough of dyeing also i guess??? 

so yeps i opened the box during the day but mummy only got home at like 8 plus or smth?? so at that time i rmb i was watching asia that vixx loves HEHEHHEHE 

then it was finally time to get down and dirty!!!!

this is just a before pic i took to compare and i had meant to take another one of me in the exact same position with the same lighting in the toilet but of course i am such a lazy ass that i didn't even bother doing that HAHHAH there's still an after pic tho just that not in the same position w the same lighting. 

anyways you can see how dark my hair is right??? it's like almost black lor imo. although sometimes in the light i guess it does look a little brownish?? but mostly it just looks so dark and like.... asian hair lor HAHA 

ohkay this is just me being zilian and i decided to take a pic of myself HAHHAHAHHA 

but as you can see, the gloves are on my leg and it was the moment before i rly got all down and dirty hahaha xD also, i'm not wearing specs neither am i wearing contacts. the instruction sheet says to remove specs and contacts before doing the dye. specs is for such obvious reasons but i think some ppl might still wanna wear contacts?? esp if ur eyesight is as bad as mine. but legit. dONT. cos like idk if it's harmful or not but once you mix the activator and the dye tgt, it emits off these gases/smell that made my eyes sting slightly so like if ure wearing contacts who knows what might happen right hahaha ><

OH RIGHT also ure sppd to put oil based gel arnd the hair line and stuff so ur face doesnt get dyed red but uh i dont think we had any?? so like mummy gave me bio oil which she once told me was quite ex so i was like ???????? but she kept telling me to use it so ohkay lor HAHHA also right, prior to dyeing my hair and everything, i was like watching a million and one liese hair dye tutorials/reviews and reading a shit ton of reviews also. 

(((omg i'm at smu now and somehow a lot of ppl have come out of the seminar rooms or smth??? so it's damn noisy omg ><))) (((oh no wait sounds like they're waiting to go in for some meeting???)))

so yeah from the reviews i read some said that liese has a strong ammonia smell. well, i've never dyed my hair before so i cant really say exactly how strong the ammonia smell is bc i don't know how it normally smells??? but there really is a smell ah, but the smell isn't very very very bad. like it's milder than masking fluid so i guess that's good?? hahhah 

one thing that i was a bit scared would happen is that the foam wouldnt come out and i'd have to waste a bit of the product just squeezing and squeezing to get the foam out. but turns out there's nothing to worry about??? hahhaha xD everything came out as it's sppd to so all is well~~~

i would say that it's rly quite easy to apply?? just that my hair is short so the hairs by the nape kept falling hahaa. i used less that three quarters of the product though. and i was thinking what should i do with it. then i was asking mummy like if she wanted it or not ah hahha like bc it might not be enough to cover her head?? she has like shoulder length hair.

but just saying ah, yknow how they say that long hair shld buy two bottles right? DONT BELIEVE THEM HHAHAH can u imagine w that small bit i had left over i dyed my mum's whole head?????? then again it could be because her hair is rly thin but still i was damn surprised bc it rly covered her entire head??? 

so yeps left it in there for abt 50 mins cos i went back to watch asia that vixx loves HAHHAHA XD the instructions say to leave it in for like 30 mins or so and like maybe 15 mins longer for dark hair. but i've learnt from jacq (my cell sis) that can just leave it in for like 1.5 hrs also no probs then maybe the colour would've come out more obvious HAHHAHA 

this i show it looked like after the time was up! it just looks a lot less foamy lor hahha 

the red in the dye is rly quite vibrant tho so i had quite high hopes for it. 

this is the end result!!! there's another one where i think i was in the toilet but then my hair was wet and it looked like i was balding so i aint uploading that HAHAHHAH 

as u can see i guess the colour isn't all that obvious in this photo?? it's not that crazily obv irl either but then like i guess when there's light it can be seen. i wouldn't say i'm 100% happy w the colour but i guess for someone who just dyed her hair for the first time it's pretty good already?? cos like idk leh hahahh it's a nice subtle red bah. 

this is just for fun but this was when i was washing the dye off hahaha xD look at how dark the water is o.o i also kindda it get it on my face a bit but it's ohkay one la just immediately wash it off lor hahhaha 

oh right one thing is that i actl this dye on some of my mum's shirts and was actl quite worried for a moment cos i didnt wanna upset mummy but the dye seems to wash out very well from clothes??? so idk hahahha >< it doesnt really wash out from my hair at all but according to mummy the colour was running a little for the first few days? dk whether was it running from her white strands bc liese claims this isn't to be used for grey hair coverage. but it did work ah and the colour suits mummy rly rly well hehhe :3 although some parts of the inside of her hair wasn't dyed tho cos uh i suck HAHA I'M SORRY ;A;

overall, i guess it's fine??? like it's rly v v v subtle and for some reason it's not v obvious on my ends??? like it's damn obvious on my roots but not my ends so idk also :\ maybe next time i'll try a brighter colour hahha 

for now, me and mummy bought purple hair dye also meant for dark hair (i have half the mind to just go to an actual salon to bleach it LOL) but it's a different brand. maybe i'll do a post on that one same day in the future? hehhe 

omg i'm finally done w this post. i didnt cut my nails so it's a bit difficult to type now ^^;;
