Well, there it is. The last time I'll wear a school uniform (excluding A's). JC... Has really taught me a lot of things and changed my life quite drastically. I remember adamantly telling everyone that I won't go to VJC when I was in TK for whatever reason and look where I am now - couldn't have chosen a better school to be in.

Yes, there was unhappiness and there were regrets.
But let's not let them rule over the fun we had with our friends and this time of self-discovery.

I learnt a lot about myself and tried many new things, especially with challenging myself to take art for A's. It's scary how closely bonded the art class is; maybe it's from all those sleepless nights and all the literal blood, sweat and tears.

There are so many things I could've done in the two years I've been in JC but yknow what? I wouldn't trade these two years for the world. (: To all those whom I hold dear to my heart, thank you all for helping me and being my friend. Great big thanks to VJART2K15, the three + two peeps from S34, my helpful teachers, you, and many many many others (that I can't name off the top of my head). Y'all have been a great bunch to be with. To those whom I couldn't care less about (let's be honest: we can't be friends with everyone), thank you for tolerating me. If we meet again in the future, let's maybe start off on a clean slate (because given my memory I may forget you ^^;;)

so there it is, my post on my graduation/farewell in vj. it's been a crazy two years filled with regrets and whatifs. but at the same time, it's been a great two years filled with joy, laughter and love. 

before i go into any crazy deep thinking and shit (which i mostly did in the caption i think) i'll go on straight to talking about my day. 

so the night before at like flipping 11pm or smth marcus asked me abt my polariod and i realised that i didnt buy any film and i was honestly so annoyed w myself cos no one else had film also? and i thought of waking up early to go tamp to buy (since it's from a vending machine) but ofc knowing me it didnt work out (also it was freaking pouring in the morning ._.). and like i tried to ask whether my mum could buy it and then deliver to sch but then like idk i felt bad and when i actl did ask her she didnt wanna do it as well hahhaha. but  hey, yknow what? i really thank God that like even though i didn't have a polariod, we had this instant photobooth that i  would say is of not bad quality so all is well :3 

i reached school close to being late (what's new HAHA) and then went to the art room first to deposit the gifts i had for all my friends. then after that i went to class hahaha. despite daddy sending me i still had to use my umbrella cos the queue to drive into sch was so long that if i had waited i'd probably be close to 30 mins late ._. 

class started off w the boring admin matters like giving us our cca records and checking our testimonials. i was quite shocked tho cos out of nowhere they gave us 100 hours more of via and we were all like ????????? but then mr chia said "when people are being generous, don't question their generosity." HAHHAHAHA but srsly tho why? at first i thought they give cos of all the time we took planning but no ley i dont think we took that long to plan? and if anything it would've probably only been given to the leaders that were planning. but no ley so we were just like O WELL. and omg one think i'm super thankful to God for is that like cos during the june hols we actl had to fill up this t3a thing for our testimonials but then ofc me being a lazy shit i didn't fill it up la hahha and then like i kept telling myself to do but ofc i didn't la hahhahha and then like on wed the teachers were saying that on friday we would get our draft testimonials so obv i had this mini freakout and then i felt rly bad and everything and yeah. so i asked mr chia on thurs like if i filled it up then will it be counted or not. and i'm telling u it actl took quite a bit from me to ask cos i was rly damn scared that they would be angry at me or smth for not filling it up when i had the chance to. but then when i got my testimonial it was so much better than i expected???? they really wrote it so well even without me having to fill up my t3a and i'm so thankful ah, that everything really worked out well. 

so then after that we had class bfast! hahhaa they catered food for us like those kind of packaged food and it's quite cool cos the day before someone was asking mr chia what food they would cater for us and mr chia was like "they'll probably give samosa" and they really did!!!! it was also really good hehehe :3 

breakfast consisting of a chocolate rice donut (that sharmaine insisted looked like maggots), two samosas and a ham and cheese sandwich xD there was also ice lemon tea :3

not surprisingly, most people didn't eat their donut and like i would've eaten it if i wasn't worried abt giving myself diabetes HAHAH 

and also!!! the teachers prepared this mini goodie bag for us and like AWWWWWWW i'll put up that photo later when i talk about the farewell assembly. 

then after that an sc from our junior class came to bring us around for the activities that day. and the first one was gg to the indoor bball court to make this banner of handprints probs from the background for a photobooth when we come back next year?? hahha >< 

me + sharmaine + clara's handprints!!!! wrote the s34 there so that we'd be able to find it ^^ actl wanted to put it with hilary too but then she ignored my calls for her and went in to put her handprint somewhere else HAHAH 

it was rly crazy and messy there omg like ppl were running around w paint on their hands and so many ppl were covered in paint. i was damn worried someone was gonna randomly run and then accidentally hit me with the paint because if that happened i would've flipped HAHAHAHA as much as i'm accustomed to paint as an art student, i would rather not have it touch my one and only beloved house tee HAHAH 

then after that we went to lt1 to do this rly funny activity HAHAHHA XD so basically we were given our ct's heads and then we had like 2 mins to find cartoon bodies that we would attach to them. and then after that write messages to them on the paper it was on. and there weren't any extra bodies and like for us we couldn't find any at all AHAHHA it was damn well hidden though i would say hahha >< 

the before photos xD the moment we saw this upon walking into the lt all of us just started taking pix of their face HAHAH idk why also when these are like the official pix they submitted for like the little tree of teachers that's placed outside the hod room hahha

the aftermath HAHAHAHHAHA disgust's body on mr chia is actl quite accurate tho! cos he's so sassy and savage HAHAHHA and like ms sharon was saying how hers was a more accurate representation that mr chia's cos she's pregnant xD and also we had hilary fill in ms sharon's hair cos clearly the figure is too big to fit her neck :\ 

then after that we didn't really know what to write so then for mr chia's we wrote all his catchphrases like "using your chemical intuition" or "do you feel your inner chemist raging" and memorable quotes like how he always burns our classmates or his witty replies to our whatsapp messages. for ms sharon, she doesn't really have any catchphrases or anything so like i guess we just wrote what we could rmb of her? but the whole thing was really quite messy ah but oh wells i really hope that the teachers like it hahhaah ><

then after that we were led to a photobooth which is where i have those photos! honestly it's not as good as all the other photobooths i've been to at my 230574684 cousins' weddings HAHHA like idk if u see that pic it's not v good cos not everyone's face can be seen (and i still feel rly bad for blocking shar's face ):) and like they wouldnt' rly let us retake it unless it's seriously screwed up so it was rly annoying like we all knew that someone's face couldn't be seen there but then they alr chased us off ._. maybe it's cos we were rushing for farewell assembly but still??? like i think they didn't even have a lens to look through it's just take alr then the photo will show up on the screen so the photographers can't even tell whether is the photo ohkay or not which honestly isn't something i like la cos when i went for my cousins' weddings there was an actual photographer and she/he would like show us the photo and get our approval and also like tell us how to shift to fit in the frame better. i'm not trying to defame or anything i'm just stating my preferences and points but ya this photography company is called srsly photographs (????) or something hahaha >< 

so it was farewell assembly!!!!! oh wait actl before that when we were waiting to take the photos we were just sitting around and majority of the class gathered to play a game or smth but yknow i dont rly have a good r/s w my class so like i wasn't w them ah and me hilz shar clara tim jolene and yueyue were gathered tgt and i was trying to get them to play some games but urgh ohkay honestly hilary being forever glued to her phone and not paying any attention is actl quite annoying la. like i was explaining the game and she wasn't giving two  shits about it and like idk like hello u w ppl u don't always just look at ur phone right. this one is the clear example of how phones have ruined social interactions lol. but hey she's still my friend hor it's just that she does some things that annoy me. everyone will annoy you somehow it's just whether they're worth being annoyed for. then i think clara was having stomachache or something so she didn't join us then after that shar had to go find her too >< so we just settled to complete mr chia and ms sharon's card. 

and ohkay so like if u didn't realise from the photo right up there and my title, this year's theme for farewell is #vjcgo and like when ms ek came up to give the principal's speech after the head (i think) of parent support grp finished his mini one, she was saying how it was 11 pages long and everything and we were all like o crap time to us our phones. but surprisingly it was rly rly rly good??? hahha like it was so well done and everything it totally didn't feel like an 11-page speech!!! like cos yknow how when u first start pogo they will be like "hello i'm professor ____"? YA so ms ek's first slide was a pic of a lady pogo-style that looked a lot like her and it had a speech bubble that went "hello, i am professor ek" HAHHAHAHA IT WAS SO COOL so basically everything was themed pogo style and ms ek had all the v zai ppl in our sch like the sc head all that to thank and talk abt so all of them were depicted like pokemons???? hahhaha >< 

like yknow how in pogo when u click on a pokemon they will move??? ya so they got those ppl involved to take a few pix that would be made into a gif of them so it looks like we're viewing them after clicking on a pokemon in the pokedex. like i know the sc head was a dragonite. and then last yr one of the aircons in the t block caught on fire and the guy that put it out was squirtle HAHAHA nad his gif was like he would step forward and "water" would spew outta his mouth AHHAHA can u imagine these ppl know abt this so long ago sia hahaha >< and then after that vjc was a gym and everything (it was a valor one tho ._. #TEAMMYSTIC) so it was really fun themed ah!! 

can u see the gyrados on the V in VJC and the pokeballs the ppl in the front are holding? they were made by mr tang!!!! cos by right tchr's day dinner was sppd to have a pogo theme too but the dress up was cancelled cos of the passing of mr s.r. nathan. and like mr tang was like heck it la just finish making all these things. so his works have not gone to waste! hheheh xD 

then after that it was the sc head's speech! and then the mcs took over and if i'm not wrong the first thing shown was a little video montage of our time in vj?? awww it was nice hahahha >< then after that i think it was a contemp dance piece and it was v v v  good!!! except i can't say the same thing for the pa system ._. like the song actl cut off halfway sia omg then they dk what to do so they just continued like professionals but rly w/o the song is not nice la. my s34 junior was like the main attraction for that piece and for good reason too damn she dances well o.o so then they redid it after finally getting the sound to work again ._. then after the contemp piece was another contemp piece but w ballet elements!!! like there were three ballerinas wearing rly pretty purple tutus and everything AND MORE IMPORTANTLY SPARKLY POINTE SHOES THEY'RE SO PRETTY OMG and can rly see that one of the girls is better than the others. like the others not rly onbox. but omg i was so excited to see pointe shoes sia hahhaha >< also i think i was talking v loudly cos this girl that sat next to shar who was sitting behind me kept turning to look at me HAHHA oops also because at one part i heard her say backstage she saw fluffy tutus and for some reason i said that same thing too and she looked at me like bij i just said that AHAHHA >< 

then there was a vid from the tchrs i think? but mr chia, mr tang and ms kwok were not in it ))))): and omg idk why but like i suddenly felt damn touched and i almost cried sia. i thought i was gonna cry during farewell assembly esp the last part but heng i didnt hahaha it would've been rly awk. thank God we always end on a high hahah >< cos i rmb that time in tk i wasn't gonna cry (cos i'm not rly that attached to tk) but like when the sch song played and my friends next to me cried, i guess i just had some tears in my eyes too hahah >< 

while preparing for the bands, there was this mini game time where most ppl took it as a chance to go toilet.  and it was that kind where like the mc say one word and the participants will say the first thing that came to their minds. the one was DAMN FUNNY like they said "thaipan", this stall in mandarin gardens that all non-muslim vj students would've gone there at least once COS THE FOOD IS DAMN GOOD ESP BUTTER SQUID. one of the participants was muslim and the first thing that came to her mind was "not halal" HAHAHHAA IT WAS DAMN FUNNY THE ENTIRE SCH BURST OUT LAUGHING. also, idk where to put this but they decorated the stage v well like they used fairy lights to arrange a heart on the curtains awwww  hehehhe >< i didn't take any pix w it tho cos i didn't feel like fighting for it HAHA 

after that there were more performances and stuff, and then omg there's this guitar duo in my sch called hd quality and shit rly damn good sia. they did a remix of "a song that we're all familiar w" and like at first a lot of us couldn't get it BUT OMG IT WAS ACTL THE PPAP SONG?!??!?! HOLY HELL THEY REMIXED IT DAMN WELL??!?!??!?!?!but ofc again the pa system was screwing up and one guy's guitar was not v well heard :\ AND MR SEET CAME OUT W A GIGANTIC PENCIL AND APPLE AND STARTING DANCING THE WAY THE GUY IN THE VIDEO DID AHAHHAHA

oh ya there was also this little skit from the juniors of talking about life in vj and stuff and like during the first part the bg photo was a photo of my class sia!!!! like i think we took it during orientation? i didn't manage to get a pic of it tho :\ it was rly funny and well acted hahah they were imitating tchrs and all that xD idk how to explain but like ya it was well carried out ah x) 

then also the juniors did this little song thing for us. i'll just put up the vid below hahaha >< ohkay nvm vid too big i'll just put the googledrive link here.

then after that there were other bands also and like there was this one called burmese bombshells AND DAYUM THE GIRL IS GOOD??!?!! but sadly it was during that perf where they decided to release balloons so v little ppl were paying attention to them everyone was just playing w the balloons. but i tell u she has damn good stage presence hahaha >< 

then the teacher's band performed too but then like all the song the sing idk so it wasn't that interesting hahahha >< during the song they threw around this gigantic pokeball tho and like urgh it never reached me BUT IZ OHKAY hahahha >< then the other teachers came on stage too!!!! (if i'm not wrong LMAO) and i have a vid for that too! here :3

then after that finally it was the last time we would sing the sch song ))))': it ended on such a high note tho hahaha we were all holding each other's shoulders and swaying and singing vj-style so i dont think anyone cried? hahha then ofc we had to end off w yo vjc!!! then after that when a lot of ppl were leaving, we did mass dance!!! omg i'm proud to say that i still rmb lots of my mass dance skillz ohkay! and it's like damn funny cos most of the ppl dancing are ogls or gms HAHAHHA they did neutron and i want you. i'm sad that they didn't do the nights tho ))): i really like that dance hahhaha ><

then after that when we went out it was time to collect the goodiebags prepared by the psc! 

awww that's so nice of them to pack the stuff for us (': although i ate one of the chocolates already and the vjc clip was taken out (but u can see it in my v first photo). btw the white chocolate bar behind the vjc logo is DAMN GOOD like it's milk chocolate coating this filling of coconut shavings??? omg v v v nice (y). and then the one w the rly pretty wrapping is from ms sharon!!! and when my friends saw it they were like it's such a lts style kind of packaging hahahha >< my other  friends got diff kinds too hahah hilary's i forgot but it was transparent one. clara's one was the same as mine and then shar's one is like some white packet w french words on it that sort of mean nothing but yet mean like love and shining bright too AHHAHA XD 

OH DID I MENTION IN THE TCHR'S VID THERE WAS ONE LIT TCHR WHO DID CALLIGRAPHY OMG FIND ME THAT TEACHER WE CAN BE FRIENDS HAHAHHA XD and another tchr filmed it w his son so right at the end he told his son to "say i love you" AND HIS SON DID THE CUTEST HEART SHAPE EVER. it's the kind where u put ur hands over ur head to make a heart but ofc little boy small hands he could barely touch the top of his head BUT IT WAS SO CUTE.

then i wanted to meet everyone at the art room to give them their presents but then amz can't go up cos she injured herself SORRY I FORGOT >< so then we actl settled to meet downstairs art rm but then hilary demanded (through text despite sitting two ppl behind me) canteen cos she wanted to eat but then it was ultimately shifted to the concourse hahhahah

so what i prepared for everyone was this photoframe where i lettered a quote or verse pertaining to them and behind it was a small message i wrote for them on decorative paper! x) 

i firstly gave to shar and clara and like at that moment when i was giving to them ys came and i was all like OMG YS DONT LOOK TURN AROUND and he legit did like he just stayed there facing outwards HAHHAHA XD and then after that it was time to give to the art peeps! took so long to gather everyone omg esp hilz who's apparently a pops kid and has to take photos w so many ppl hahhaha >< too bad anmol isn't there tho cos he decided to be like hormonal or smth and just go home ._. i hope i'll still be able to pass him the gift  when i go back to sch for remedial next week hahha >< 

everyone's! heheh >< there's actl a vid on it on my private but then i think cos it's private i can't share :\ some black papers look different cos i was using two diff kinds of black paper hahha >< 

then as u can see above there's one that in korean and that one was for yj. and when ys saw it he was like "WOW. WELL SAID. WELL SAID" HAHAHA and even when yj read it in korean (w/o translating) he was like "well said, well said" HAHAHA XD then after that we managed to take a photo at the photobooth tgt!!! hahaha >< it was initially rly crowded >< and they all held my gift up in that photo awwww hahah >< i'm actl holding something there. it's a stick that says class of 2015 but then it got blocked by the banner below hahahha >< 

oh right before i gave the art peeps i also gave to tim and jolene who both gave me the same fav verse HAHHAHA they came w yueyue tho and i felt bad cos like i'm not rly close to yueyue so i didn't prepare anything for her >< 

ohkay then on the more down side i went to meet ms peh and have her lecture me on my bio results for a while before studying in sch until it was time for tuition AHHAHA 

but hey, look a proper post!!!! wooh finally hahaha >< i hope i ddin't miss out anything. also i spent like close to three hours doing this oh my HAHHAHA it's 3:18am rn i'm tired >< 

vj has rly been a great place to me. when i was choosing jcs, i was rly worried because like i didnt have that good of a time in tk and like i was worried abt gg to a sch that didnt have a good environment but hey, all worked out well. couldn't have asked to go to a better school (: thank God for bringing me here (:

EDIT 17/10/2016 (1:34AM): i forgot to mention that like i think one of the reasons why this year's FA was such a success was cos two adhocs were working for it. like the sdd adhoc got stripped of their jobs so they worked w the FA adhocs to plan FA. cos like by right we were sppd to have prom (aka sdd) but then like only 50 ppl signed up like !?!???!?!? so bobian had to cancel lor. honestly i felt rly sad for my juniors ah. cos they plan so long fight so hard end up it was just all wasted :\ they wanted to hold it in sch and all that but then the teachers decided yknow what nvm they no spirit just dont give them the prom ;A; ohkay la tbh i didn't have that much intentions to go but then the art peeps were gg as one so i was like eh, why not? hahha >< but yeah still feel really sad for them ):
