태어나서 처음으로
right. i guess i might not have mentioned this before (or i could've like a really long time ago like in 2011 or something so like yeah lemme just say it again.
so the thing is, to everyone i meet, i tell them i'm Christian. but in actual fact, i've never actually been to church for well, like service and stuff on a normal day. i've never been in a cell group, didn't understand the meaning of a cell group and everything. i've been to church for all those Good Friday things and ofc my primary school had all those worship sessions and everything but yeah i've never really just been to a church for service and everything.
so like i met this friend in shop (school house on prayer, something like this gathering of Christians in vjc for us to have like worship or smth i guess every monday), klarisse, and like yeah told her abt it and she invited me to her church, fcbc! (: and it's rly such a great experience for me honestly.
like i was supposed to go last week?? but like i rly couldn't make it last week la i cant rmb for what anymore but i know i had something on so yeah. and so this is my first week going. and like she was gonna bring me to her cell and like yeah yknow meet them and everything and like i guess i was really worried and afraid at first? cos like i guess i havent rly said this but like yeah i'm kindda scared of strangers and also i don't really like all those awkward silences and everything so i was kindda worried that there would be a lot of awkward silences cos yknow like a cell group would have probably been together for a really really long time and to just suddenly have a new addition???? but well yeah turns out didn't really have much to worry about. ohkay of course like at first i was rly intimidated cos i came late cos of ballet and like they were in the middle of thanksgiving and i kindda like walked in like that so yeah i guess it was really awkward and scary???? and then like yeah they welcomed me in and everything (:
and it was rly very nice la like i got to kindda like bond and make friends with the people really quickly??? so yay me! (: like yknow cos we played some games and like yeah talked to my partner and then also saw this girl playing superstar smtown and when i told her i played it too she was like over the moon hahahhahaha xD cos like it's kindda rare to find ppl that play this game since it requires quite a lot of effort to download yknow like if you have iphone you have to change your appstore to korea and like for android you'll have to like download the apk and everything so yeah it's really cool to meet someone else that plays it other than natasha la hahhaha x)
then after that we went for service! and it was really different from those that i've been for luh. firstly i had to go toilet and wah seh they like laying eggs sia it was damn long omg. and then after that it was worship and it was really nice la (: like as they were singing there were dancers at the back too and all the lights and everything but yeah like i didn't rly see them cos like idk... as i was singing like i just... rly... i actually dk how to explain the experience but i guess i felt like pretty calm and like my eyes were closed la so hahhaha x)
and then there was the sharing by the pastor and it was really interesting to listen to. it was about the trumpets and like the book of Revelations. before that he was like saying "those coming here for the first time and their friends, please stand up so we can welcome you" and everything and yeah when i did it was rly cool la like they were shaking my hand and hahha felt like some celebrity LOL JK. then after that there was the sinners' prayer thing and like i've actually said it before uh haha but oh wells no harm saying it again right? and then there was also like they invited those that chose to accept God into their life and be reborn again to come to the front and like well even though i've already accepted Him into my life, i've never really been to church so like yeah i decided to step forward uh haha and the people were really nice and welcoming and i'm thankful for that uh (:
and then we were like led to another room where the pastor (another one) talked to us about this whole thing and then like also gave us this welcome gift thing which eunice (who was my partner for games in which i found out i'm rly good at dodge ball HAHA) was like ransacking through it i didn't even look through it properly HAHAHHA.
klarisse's parents' then sent me back and they were so friendly and everything including her sister and it's rly cool ah thankful for them (: kindda made them do a roundabout tho cos like when they were at my house there they kindda travelled a little too fast for me to tell them to turn into it so yeah i'm sorry!!!! ><
another thing i wanna say is like i guess all this time i havent been to church even though there's one near my house is because like idk... my parents don't really seem that receptive to the idea? like when i told mummy that i was "gonna go to my friend's church on saturday" she was kindda like "you go for what? you wanna go meh???" in that yknow that kind of voice so like yeahh.... and like i did tell them abt it before and she was kindda ohkay w it last time but i think she like doesn't really uh... believe in Jesus and everything??? and like yeah a bit difficult ah. but i thank God that she was ohkay when i told her i would go every week and everything (((:
yknow i just realised i typed this whole thing in html and like i probably will have severe paragraphing issues later but oh wells i'll just do that editing later hahhaha ><
but yeah, really thankful to God for today uh (:
