Hilarity
You know sometimes people are just so stupid and lack so much common sense that it becomes so funny? I thank God for letting me have this job to be able to laugh at such moments of stupidity.
Three cases today. (28 dec)
First, this family bought 20kg to check in. Their first bag was 18kg and the other was a small bag so like i think they were prepared to bring it up alr. One thing i always do when i help ppl check in is that i will announce the weight of the bag, how much more they had left and that i'll be checking it in. So yknow when i say im checking it in and u say ohkay there's no turning back, right? This guy said ohkay then i said i would check it in. Then? "Oh wait i want to put perfume in there!" So yeahla idk what really happened over there and stuff but like um,..... i guessed they figured out what to do w it??? haha cos i kindda left them alone as they were thinking on how to solve their problem cos i had to do work and help others as well mah
Second, there was this one guy that came freaking early for his check in. the thing is that for our this machine, it doesn't allow you to check in if you came to early. like usually check in opens 2 hours before the flight so u dunnid to come so early hahahha. so i think this guy came freaking early and even though he would've been able to use the self check in, he couldn't because it wasn't open yet. so i just led him to the early check in and stuff. i think he was pretty pissed because he couldnt skip the queue and everything. he starting scolding the machine so badly which was honestly really really funny i'm not kidding. he was like "i know this is not your fault so i'm not scolding you don't worry. this machine is made by people and i'm scolding the stupid people that made this STUPID machine!" something along those lines and i was just like hm.... ohkay...??? lol it was actually quite entertaining!
Third, there was this one guy that overshot by 2kg for his bag. and the thing is that jetstar gives a grace of 1kg. so everyone can only overshot by 1kg. this guy bought 20kg and his bag was 22. honestly he just needed to remove a jacket or something and it would be fine.cos the machine rounds down so as long as it's 21.9kg it will pass. when i told him that he would need to repack because it exceeded 2kg, he was furious. like "this is ridiculous! you pay less but yet you do so much work!" and whatever shit and i was just like uh.... you really only have to take out a jacket or something and you're good to go...... but whatever i just left him there hahaha the moment he started talking cos it's not my job to entertain people like that. it's my job to help people that are not so familiar w this kiosk.
anyways yeah this is mostly it from that day??? haha
something interesting today tho. someone left their phone at the self bag drop and i initially wanted to call like the mother or something but just ended up calling the most recent person on his call log and it turned out to be his friend that was travelling with him so then i had to go to the depature gate to pass it to him and there were two so i went to both and couldnt find the both of them. but then later they called me and i managed to find them and the police let them out to be able to retrieve their phone hahha. they sounded kindda panicky tho. i guess he was really thankful he got his phone back cos it's a z2 somemore hahahha
welps, 2014 is ending and i'm still not done w so many posts. i have such a strong feeling i wont even bother w some anymore SIGH
