RAD Summer School

hhahaha ohkay as y'all know, i attended RAD's Summer School and omg it was an amazing experience. i want to go for more!! it was so fun and enjoyable and i learnt  a lot of new things there! i'm so thankful for the teachers, esp because they kindda overestimated us and they were a little bit like "you can't do that???" hahaha. so i'm thankful for their patience ^~^

one of the reasons why i put it off for so long is actually cos i'm waiting for my friend to send me the photos that we took but i think she's lazy so meh. i gave up on waiting and just decided to blog xD if she ever sends it to me, i'll see if i remember to put it up here which is never

day one!

it was the worst day for me ): because i had fever the previous day, so i was running a slight one as i left the house. and mummy gave me the directions to joochiat cc but i still got a little lost. was flaring up at my phone for it's lagginess omg. even my iphone which is at least 2 years older worked faster than it ._.

walked the wrong way for like ten minutes or so so i had to walk all the way back and everything. basically A LOT of walking omg. i think i walked more than a kilometer that day????? btw i walked like a really long distance from the mrt and basically made a huge circle before getting to my bus stop whoops x)

then when i was reaching, i realised that it was actually near my school????? like it's at I12 there! dammit. lolx. so the next few days i just ended up taking bus 10 xD

and yeah, was a little lost and confused but meh, nothing too bad x) had to combine classes because apparently a lot of people weren't there??? like idk. idk if they were late or what i think quite a few were late o.o but yeah. learnt quite a few things!

so just an introduction, my ballet and character teacher is miss jenny and my musical theatre teacher is miss becky! (:

yeah miss becky took us first, and was telling us to do some excercises which pretty much all of us couldn't do!!! like she told us to do chaine turns and we were all like WHAT I CAN'T DO THAT SHIT. and i really can't. it's so dizzying and i can't travel in a freaking proper line lolx. also told us to do some spinning turn thing. i can do it! but i need to keep practicing because now i can only do it slowly. any faster and nopeeee ><

felt really uncomfortable and everything because of my fever and i was in a way just hoping for it to end. even though i enjoyed myself, my fever was really worsening so... yeah. and i didn't know anyone there so it was kindda awkward? most of the students were malaysian students so they spoke a lot of chinese. like really. out of 14 students only 2 of us are singaporean :O sometimes i feel... idk what for them, because our teachers are from england so when they're speaking really quickly in english, can see that they a bit confused and stuff and i really wanted to step in to help them but i think one of them was better at english than everyone else so yeah. she was their translator x)

they did try to speak to me a little but they were all speaking in english lolx. wanted to tell them that i could speak chinese but i was a little bit like meh. y'know let them practice their english? but i ended speaking to them in chinese la haha. sometimes i acted as their translator also hehehehhe i'm a good translator kay xD

after that, daddy thankfully came to pick me up, then we went for dinner and he brought me to dr koh because omgggg i was feeling really uncomfortable and sickkkk ):

fun fact! i was listening to my teachers speak in an English accent for such a long time that my thoughts were starting to develop the english accent HAHA

day two! 

day two was so much better omgggg. so yeah i left house and took bus 10 there. on the way, i was tweeting w my #기적 and #빅스 hashtag because music shows. basically just spouted rubbish and reblogged rubbish xP it helps raise the sns points ohkay!! and we really wanted vixx to win so since i was sitting in the bus anyway, i decided it'd be good to just tweet for fun xD

was really paranoid about missing my stop though. cos i had to stop at like the Church of the Holy Family or something and was really scared i'd miss it. so i kept looking out and everything and i bet most of my tweets were about me freaking out that i missed my bus stop xD

also, ruba came that day! ruba didn't come on the first day because she was ill, but for the rest of the days, she did come and she's such a great friend omg (: it was really nice having her around! she's the oldest haha but she doesn't look her age???? omggg

she's also the one holding my photos captive xD

anyways yeah. didn't talk to her at first but after a while i guess we just started talking luh xD she asked about how to get to the mrt and stuff, and since i was going to the airport that day, i decided to tell her to follow me so that she wouldn't get lost (:

lesson that day was good.. ballet was fun, i think we did some pose turns??? it's quite difficult, but much easier than chaine hehe. also did some excercises with resistance bands?

i was kindda aching here and there but i didn't mind the ache hehe (: it was so much fun!! i think we did grand allegro to pirates of the carribbean in ballet? omg it was so cool!!! oh yeah, and in character, we learnt czardas from coppelia :3 in musical theatre, we did the dance in cats the musical!!! it's called jellicle ball, i think xD it's so much fun omg. it's really difficult and fast, but it's really amazing and i want to be able to have more lessons so that we can perfect the routine. you'll know why when i talk about performance day.

so after that, i followed ruba to go to the mrt station. she had to get to somewhere in the red line, i don't remember exactly where but it's somewhere in the red line. thank God for my mini mrt map in my phone so we could use that to help decide her route haha.

took the mrt to airport to have dinner w mummy daddy and siyi!! xD dinner was good :3

btw i hate it when i get antibiotics from doctors. because i always forget to take them. not forget to the extent that i don't take them, but like if i was supposed to take it after dinner, i'd probably take it a few hours after dinner cos i would've forgotten. you have no idea how happy i was after i finished my antibiotics from dr koh xD

day three!

we're on to day three now~! ohkay tbvh i cannot remember each day in perfect detail, but i know more or less what went on la ohkay.

day three was pretty  ohkay i guess??? nothing much going on, we did the normal things again x) btw just in case you're feeling a little confused, it's from 2 to 5:30 and it's 1 hour ballet, a 5 min break, 1 hour musical theatre, a 25 minute break and 1 hour character before going home.

i think we did some stretching! cos we're all hopelessly inflexible oops. :x did it with the resistance band again! omg that thing is like so useful i've been looking for one hahahha. idk if daiso sells but if daiso doesn't sell, then i'll get daddy to buy it online. i think he's already found it just that we're deciding that i should go to daiso and see if they got sell first? haha xD

anyways, so day three was show champion!!! my stream was so bad omg. like it worked pretty much fine at first? it was ohkay ohkay. then after that i boarded the bus to tanah merah cos i just missed bus 10 and it'd take another 20 mins so i'd rather take to tanah merah then go home.

then on the bus it was just... urgh. IT ACTUALLY WORKED FINE FOR JIYEON'S ONE MINUTE ONE SECOND AND HYOSUNG'S GOODNIGHT KISS. but i think it crashed on me JUST before vixx came out dammit ):

after reloading and stuff, i was greeted with a BLONDE leo and a GREEN HAIRED ravi and i was just like holy shit. LOL XD it was when ravi started his rap, if you can't tell. and then it crashed one me. fml. the only part i heard of their perf was basically the "nega obneun hyunsil" blah blah blah that part like the first few seconds only. dammit ):

then after that yeah reached tanah merah. was a little bit worried that i had been too caught up in my streaming that i had missed my stop, but thankfully i didn't! i think quite a lot of people left the bus anyways so yeah. then i think my stream died on me again in the mrt? sigh my internet connection ):

but that's not the point!

because it was #VIXX3RDWIN #VIXXETERNITY2NDWIN!!!!! XDDD like my stream came back on when it was the "chukhahamnida!!!" and i saw vixx with the trophy and i was just like HOLY SHIT THEY WON OH YEAH. and i just left the mrt so i was kindda smiling like a retard while waiting to go down the escalator. and guess what? my stream really hated me so all i heard of their thank you speech live was n's choke. LOL. sorry >< but yeah. all i heard was "eh-huh" (choking noise) and BAM. stream gone ._.

waited for mummy at tampines mall cos there was a converse shoe sale!! and it was like 70% off that kind of sale ohkay. sadly none of the shoes looked good on me so :\ where did we go for dinner??? haha oh yeah i think we went to kopitiam lolx.

day four!

started the day like normal, and pretty much spammed twitter again! it's amazing how i didn't get jailed :P

ballet was pretty ohkay, i guess? i think we got scolded for our running cos apparently she said that our running was really bad??? >< sorry!!! i wanted to run but there wasn't really much of any space. ack ><

and remember how i said pose turns are easier than chaine turns? miss jenny told us to do six pose turns and then do a few chaine turns and i was just like NOPE. i can't do that omg >< heh ^^;;

then during musical theatre, idk who it was that came in, but we had pretty much learnt everything alr. so this other teacher, whom i didn't know if she was the 'principal' or just another teacher, had come in. and miss becky was telling us to show her the dance. she complimented us, but honestly, we looked really bad. i'm sure of it. omg when the video of us dancing to cats goes online or others watch it, imma cry in a corner cos i really looked so retarded and it was really really really so bad ):

character was good! there were many super fast parts and everything, but miss jenny slowed them down and stuff. it still sounded fine, just that it was a little bit slower and we could catch our breath and everything. omg that dance really just takes up so much energy i need to work on my stamina ):

after that took the bus home again and my streaming was even worse than show cham. because why? BOTH my sucky phones couldn't access the stream coming from mnet! mnet actually streams the show themselves, and i was really looking forward to it because i'd be watching an official one and hopefully it would be better than those where the fans stream it.

but then both my phones couldn't access it.... AT ALL. and the worst part was that no one had any other streams because i guess everyone else could access the mnet one. dammit ):

so i pretty much depended on twitter to know what was going on. some said that reading the updates on twitter were more stressful than watching the actual show but i beg to differ. i haven't blogged about it, i guess, but when vixx had their first win for eternity, i was streaming inkigayo live and you had no idea how fast my heart was beating and everything i felt so kanjiong for them and when their numbers just went up and up and up while everyone's had stopped, i just screamed so loudly "YES THEY WON!!!" and daddy was like wtf. and mummy actually came outta the kitchen because she thought what had happened lolx

then apparently vixx and infinite were in the waiting room tgt and there was an interview or something? so i guess many people thought that vixx and infinite were the first two even though taeyang had also made his comeback??

and then later someone was like wtf mnet was playing us. vixx was never in the top two ._. it was infinite and taeyang. i think the boys got third? but it's ohkay la i guess :\ i was watching the rerun of mcountdown ytd and it was the one where vixx was against taeyang. i felt so bad because i had been so caught up w chionging my homework that i forgot to vote for them on twitter. i actually really forgot yknow. like i forgot that there were music shows i forgot that i could vote i forgot so many things and i kindda really feel bad that i didn't contribute ): and i think they're having their goodbye stages already???? i'm so sorry guys ): hopefully in the next comeback i can contribute more than i did in this comeback. i'll prolly go download those apps where i can vote for them and stuff. i will have to remind myelf too.

btw they're having their solo concert now arent they? PLEASE COME TO SINGAPORE BUT NOT DURING MY O'S GAMSIA!!! XD like if they came on the day of my o and the next day i didn't have a paper, i'd prolly drop everything and go for it. idc what my parents say because what's the point of last minute studying? if i know it i know it. i will still study a little but i want it to be like maybe my 3rd or 4th time reading through it just to remember the easily overlooked facts?

so anyways, yeah. that was how my day was? hehe.

day five!

that day started a little differently from others. because our performance was only gonna be musical theatre, miss jenny decided that it would be ohkay to take like half her lesson so that we could improve a little for our musical theatre.

so then i think she said something about reporting to miss becky's class directly instead of hers? but i couldn't really remember clearly. so i just decided to enter miss becky's class first. and then instantly this girl just came up to me and asked if i've signed this card or smth. and i got a little shocked cos i thought she was asking if i signed the attendance and i wanted to tell her that i wasn't part of her class. but it turned out to be a card for the teachers awww <3 i wrote my words in cursive ^^

i wanted to call ruba to ask her where we were supposed to go and stuff but then i realised i didn't have her number otl. so i just sat like some loner in the room. i actually went up to my normal classroom first but no one was inside that's why i went down.

then after a while i just decided to go back cos it was pretty hot in that room and then i kindda just slacked and stuff??? hehe. until ruba came in and i was like OH THANK GOD SOMEONE I KNOW IS HERE. hehe.

turns out we'd be having a quick combined class for ballet then we moved on to musical theatre. had to work w the other group and it was pretty ohkay i guess? little bit awkward cos we really didn't have any interactions w each other ><

then for character we did coppelia a few times then miss jenny taught us a spanish dance!! it's really really cool omg xD but it's pretty fast too. or not really fast la but like you need to anticipate your next move and when you're doing a you need to think of d and stuff ><

then after that a lot of people left and then there were a few of us just staying back for a short while. i had a few friends asking miss jenny some tips and stuff.

then halfway ruba suddenly called me lolx. and apparently one girl didn't know how to say what she wanted to say in english so i was called over to be the translator xD it was kindda cool and i was a little shocked at my abilities cos really, if you know me my chinese is seriously horrible ><

asked miss jenny about how to cure (?) my sickling and thank God she provided me with an answer. i haven't tried it yet, but i can't wait to. i have to get a resistance band, and i've asked daddy if he could buy it online but they sell in one big pack >< so i'm thinking of going to daiso or something to see first if got cheap ones annot.

i really hope to stop my sickling cos it's really very bad and ugly sigh ): it's not like turnout where we're kindda born with it. i think it's just a build up of bad habit over the years because i never really understood what sickling was..... but well, better changing it now than later ><

oh yeah, and also learnt tips for next time when we'd go on pointe! have to train the metatarsals cos i think they'll be the one that will need to be strong in order to make pointe easier for us when we go to inter found.

anyways so yeah went home pretty late that day. didn't have to worry anything about mubank cos at that time it wasn't back on yet~ or wait. i think it was but i just didn't bother la lolx. actually wait did daddy pick me up? nah. idk i can't rmb anymore oops ><

I danced the whole week!

yes! i really did! monday to friday i had summer school. saturday i had my own ballet lesson. then on sunday was the performance! xD

that lesson was pretty ohkay i guess?? i think we were just doing etude lyrique and stuff. like trying to get it properly. but the annoying thing was that i was wearing my raspberry leotard. yknow the one i wore for my exams? yeah that.

omg i'm never buying sleeved leotards EVER again. they're so freaking hot omg. i'd rather sleeveless. don't have the embarrassing pit sweat stains oso x)

and it was really pink hahahhahhaha. like a bright pink woah. there's this acc on insta that's called trade my leotard, so when i get my new phone and can access dms properly, i'm planning to trade it away for a wrap cardigan or a nicer leotard xD

speaking of phones, i want an S5 but daddy's complaining it's too ex!!!! ): i don't mind spending more on a good phone rather than spend 0 on a lousy phone, ohkay. i was actually thinking lg g2/g3 pro oso, but w my experience w this lg phone, i'm being really skeptical about lg stuff. samsung hasn't disappointed yet, so i still have my faith in them. iphone too, but i guess i kindda like android a little more? heh ^^;;

anyways yeah. so it was an ohkay day i guess lolx.

oh yeah! rmb that amazing day i had in august last year when i met taemin??? xD

so i got the makeup stuff from etude and finally got down and decided that i really really don't use makeup so i decided to give it to siew lee biaojie. but i wasn't sure if she'd still want it cos yknow makeup has its expiration dates and stuff. it turns out that she uses the same brand, so we gave her everything that i didn't use HAHA xD

didn't give the black mascara cos i used it in the perf and everyone kept using it too so it'd be better not to give it to her ><

performance day!

woke up bright and early cos i think we had to reach there at like 10 or something????

our uni was just a black leotard with black tights. but my tights had a yellow waistband so at first when i wore it on the outside, i had meant to just fold it in and secure it w pins so that it wouldn't come out. but turns out that if i were to do that, when i bent over, the yellow becomes super obvious. so i wore it on the inside instead. and hey, it turns out that we were supposed to wear it on the inside! yay!!! xD

mummy had initially said that there was a chance that they wouldn't be able to come, but in the end she bought the tix first so that she cfm will come hehe. lxbj came too!! x) i was texting ruba and stuff, cos she went back to m'sia over the weekend, and was rushing to republic poly. i think there was a jam???

anyways, the backstage was so cool lor! omg xD it was like some idol's waiting room like the w all the cool mirrors that have the light bulbs all around it hahahha xD i took a pic of it, but it's on my insta and i'm too lazy to screen shot and post it here >< and also there're hasn't been much colour to this so i'm planning to just let it stick that way xD

so at first everyone was just doing what they wanted, anyhow la anything. didn't really care about makeup and everything. esp one girl, she was like “我不用化妆。我自然美。" and i was thinking a little bit like PLOX. but haha yeah she's actually quite pretty la.

got ruba to help me do my makeup cos i'm hopeless at it??? like how to people do it lor. pls enlighten me! it was not bad. although i think i looked super fake???? but meh. stage so far cannot see one xP it was really simple so i'm glad. my eye actually got itchy and i really really really wanted to scratch it but ruba was like DON'T. cos i prolly would smudge my mascara. holy shit i sound like those damn aimei girls talking about makeup and stuff HAHA

did rehearsals and stuff but we mostly just slacked backstage :3

and ate food even though we weren't supposed to x)

the kids were talking to me in chinese and halfway, one of them asked if i was right or left handed and you know how good i am with my directions right? so i actually took some time to answer her whoops xP

two of them were ivy's juniors! as in the one from the other group la. it was really awkward w them tho. glad that i won't be seeing them ever again xP

so then after that the girls just got really crazy w their makeup. they kept applying foundation, lip stick, mascara and everything. they also wanted to curl their eyelashes and i was just standing at the side like wth. lolx. cos i really didn't care about it!

the girl who talked about natural beauty? she ended up freaking out the most about her makeup lolx. and then another one had accidentally spilled mascara on her face abt ten mins or so before we were supposed to go on stage so ruba was freaking out a little trying to help her wipe it off. she did la haha. thankfully. apparently she just took out the wand, but then there was this thick clump of the the mascara liquid (?) on it and it kena-ed her face.

we also did our hair! they were in low ponytails. a teacher had to help me retie mine cos apparently it was too messy? lolx

the performance?

IT WAS HORRIBLE. i saw the recording of it alr. it was blur but we looked so horrible omg i'm sorry. we literally had only 4 to 5 hours to put that dance tgt ohkay.

the dance was 3 mins long and every time we were practicing it, it always seemed pretty ohkay and stuff. but when we were on stage, EVERYTHING PASSED SO QUICKLY!!! before i knew it the dance was already over omg!

btw i did a super obvious mistake sigh ):

haha ohkay it's obviously been changed but this depicts what really happened xD except that it wasn't really five days more like five hours :\

after the perf, i was supposed to wait for ruba but she was taking a really long time so i just waited for her to come out of the toilet before i bid her goodbye (: she's really nice and i'm glad that we've became friends! ^^ apparently she works in the same company as mummy too!!! :D

then met up w mummy daddy and lxbj! took super lot of photos ehehehe

and then we went for a light snack of prata!!! it was good ^~^ lxbj was so shocked when i said that i like garlic hahaha. and wanted to bring me to this place that served everything w garlic ooooo that sounds really good hehe

then we made a turn to orchard there to go for sonata's flash sales!!! and i'm so happy omg

one pair of character shoes, one pair of tights and two leotards, you guess how much?

i got those for only $50!!!!!!!

the character shoes were only $10, the tights the same price and the leotards were $15 each!!! the leotards are so pretty omg :3

and the character shoes were really cheap because they had defects. there were two pairs my size and each pair had one defect on each foot. one didn't have proper sewing and the other, the button fell off. but it just so happened that one spoil on the right leg the other spoil of the left leg. so we just took the good ones from both boxes and bought those xD the only problem is that the ribbons are diff colour but meh. i can live w that. my character shoes are actually still working, but i just find that they're a little too big and they're hindering my dance too much that's why i wanted new ones.

after me being super happy and everything, went to meet up w lxbj who was buying something for her dad cos it was father's day. i had planned to cook for daddy but i haven't been able to do so :\

oh sorry, we went to eat prata after gg sonata ><

the couple in the shop were really very nice! the couple in sonata, i mean. you see how jumbled my thoughts are? xP the man was telling me something about there being this seminar (?) on pointe shoe fitting and since i was in such a high grade alr, i should go for it. he said it'd be on sonata's fb but i couldn't find anything??? sigh ):

that week was really a great week, i really loved it :D

i really wish that there'd be a camp where we literally danced the whole day. like stay over camp. wake up, then have breakfast then dance then have lunch then dance then have dinner then either dance or rest? haha omg i'd totally go for that!!! but mummy says that the organisers prolly don't want the responsibility of having to take care of so many people so they wouldn't do it :\

oh yeah, and i meant to say this but i just never found a right place to say it.

miss jenny's five months pregnant!!! like omg she's pregnant and she's still teaching!!! and it's not the just sit on the chair and watch that kind of teaching ohkay! she actually jumped tgt w us and everything omg it's so amazing xD

so yeah, i guess i'm FINALLY done w my rad summer school post. but since tmr is hakyeonnie's birthday, i'll just put it up tmr instead xD it's the beginning of my doom too, btw xP
