Chemistry
hey guys! haha i guess it's pretty obvious i'm taking about chemistry eh? :P
haha so yeah. today in chemistry, we were learning about group I metals... wow. haha. cos mr ahmad was showing us how sodium reacts in water and stuff o.O it's really cool actually haha. in the beginning, when i just entered the room, i saw like... a plastic shield-like thingy on the teacher's table and i knew instantly that there was gonna be something interesting during that lesson HEHE :D
and true enough something interesting really did happen. omg it was so cool ohkay! like mr ahmad was cutting up sodium... SO COOL!!! :DDDDD hehe and i like sodium alot cos my friend used to call me sodium. cos xian sounds like salty and what do you get from salty? SODIUM! XP and sodium is so soft! omg! hehe. i feel sho amazed~~~
and then after that he asked us to come infront cos the ppl at the back couldn't really see and everything. me and ravi like chionged all the way infront xP then yeahla, best seat in the house ^~^ but i feel kindda bad cos i was tall, so i was trying to bend a little hehe.
then after that mr ahmad dropped the sodium into water. then it was just like... yeah. reacting... floating around in the water, some smoke came out.. and then suddenly there was fire. and just when mr ahmad reached his hand over to see what happened, IT EXPLODED.
and needless to say, the whole class was screaming our heads off. haha. and i think mr ahmad scalded himself. ow ): cos he was like rubbing his hand, like what you do when you scald yourself o.O
mr ahmad said that the sodium was too old or something haha. like it became super reactive or something. i suddenly forgot what he said :O but yeah. it wasn't supposed to explode :P cos mr ahmad said that he did it w other classes w the same amount of water, the same amount of sodium everything and it didn't explode. and i asked natasha just now. she said hers just floated around in the water haha.
and the ravi, who was looking at in between the gaps of the plastic shield thing was like scarred/traumatised haha. had to comfort her :O hehe but like joking joking kind of la,.but i think she was still really scared. she said she didn't see the explosion cos when she saw fire she backed away alr. but it was not very far away, so it could've hit her eye. ><
and then later we were doing some potassium iodide thing. hehe mr ahmad was trying to show solid iodine, but his hands were blocking ): and then cos you know how metals are alkaline right? or well, at least sodium is.
when he put the sodium into the water,the water had universal indicator. so after the sodium KA-BOOM-ED, the water turned purple cos of alkaline. and then when mr ahmad was showing us the various solutions like potassium bromide, potassium iodide and everything, he was pouring everything into the basin and we thought he was trying to lower the pH to acidic. turns out that was just like his wash basin ._. HAHA
but yeah, chem was pretty fun ^~^
had lunch with natasha today (: she doesn't like rookie groups. WHYYYY. haha. i just happen to see them here and there. and cos my friends like them too... so... haha. but yeah, it's nice to watch their shows (: like the recent shows i've been watching is SHINee's Wonderful Day, Boyfriend's Hello Baby and NU'EST's MTV Diary :D she says i have no life cos i watch only kpop. haha i just watched pitch perfect like a few days ago ohkay. i watch english shows too :D
i had initially wanted to get her to join me and eva for the NU'EST dance thing, but since she doesn't listen to NU'EST and everything, i guess it'd be in vain anyways. still trying to learn the dance. DAMN WHY IS THE STEP THING SO HARD. i mean, the stepping part is not hard. the ending is hard. like idk how to shift my body or something. keke. most probably wont win. but then again, it's the fun of learning the dance :D i really hope that we can learn finish and submit on time though :\ hope eva learns it soon. hehe.
