Quiche

hais! so on thursday i made quiche for homeec test!!!! it was really cool and a little disastrous LOL. so yeah, during recess, i rushed up to the library to print the cover page for homeec then after that we had to rush to homeec cos it started 10 mins earlier that day, which meant it cut into recess cos there was cmps pwf later and we were doing a skit so ppl involved in it had to do rehearsals. so yeah

in my group was sabrina prithi preetea and me (: then me preetea and prithi were alr there but sabrina was no where to be found. AND SHE WAS THE LEADER. well, i had to rush back to class to take my lunch box. :P anyways, sabrina came and then we had to start. we were making spinach quiche btw, the criteria was to make a healthy meal. and we had the recipe for brocolli quiche but me and sabrina prefered spinach so we changed it to spinach. preetea and prithi had no preference.. so.. hehe although they didnt really want spinach but i was telling them that they cant taste the spinach. cos i've eaten it at starbucks before.

so yeah. we had to make the shortcrust pastry. YES MAKE. cos it was also the criteria ._. so yeah. while sabrina and prithi was making the shortcrust pastry, i was blanching the spinach and preetea was grating cheese. hehe we used two tables xD and we had to preheat an oven. thankfully sabrina alr did that. and cos blanching spinach needs hot water, i decided to boil the water first then start chopping the spinach. and i couldnt figure out how to use the older stove (since i've never used it before) and i was getting sabrina's help. and sabrina put the recipe over where the fire will be and tried to on the stove and then later she was like. ohkay this is not a good place to put it. LOL.WELL DUH. if the fire was turned on the recipe would go up in flames. lolx

then i gave up and decided to use the electircal stove since i've been using that stove since day one in the kitchen. keke. then yeah, i was boiling wather and me and sabrina were deciding whether to use the whole spinach or just the leaves. at first, we just wanted to use the leaves. but when i went to weigh them, they were only like 53 grams ._. we needed 200 lolx. and then because at that time there wasnt alot of spinach in the bowl i used, i weighed the bowl first so i wont have to keep taking out all the spinach, put the bowl, then click tare. so the bowl's 223 grams. so yeah. then i went to cut up some stalks of spinach. like the stems. and when i went to weigh, madam sue was there and i was telling her that i needed 200 grams and plus the bowl, it was more than that. idk why, but she was like more than enough  ^_^ in my head i was like uh. minus the bowl, it's less than enough LOL. then i went to chop up ALL the spinach but there still wasnt enough :\ when i went to weight mdm yante was there and she was like, YOU'RE WEIGHING WITH THE BOWL!? and me forever being the person that makes teachers wish they never asked me questions, went the bowl's 223grams. and i think she was a little shocked and she was like ohkay. be sure to minus the weight. LOL. last time also same thing. well, not really. that time we moved into a new class and there was alot of paint on my table. so when the teacher was talking, i was scaping the paint off with my ruler and i guess she thought that i wasnt listening so she asked me a question and i replied the exact correct answer and there was a short pause and she awkwardly went ohkay good. HAHA SEE!? NEVER QUESTION THE ALMIGHTY HOPE. lolno i'm not Key. :P

so yeah, then after that since we didnt have spinach alr i just went to take the pot and blanch the spinach. oh one thing, i almost boiled water in a metal bowl ._. what? i've done that before ohkay! keke i only know that i cant boil water in a porcelain bowl - the hard way :\. so when that was happening i think i was just helping wash up random stuff or just helping around~ and then after it finished blanching, the water changes colour! i never knew that! haha the spinach became soft soft de. :P then i forgot the spinach was still hot so i picked it up with my bare hands ._. LOL. but yeah. then i was cutting up the spinach bit by bit. :P (note: dont freak out but i forgot to wash them >< i only blanched them... hehe ^^;;) then i went to help out with the rolling out of the dough. apparently, we added too much water (idk anything cos i wasnt there at the lesson where we learnt hwo to make short crust pastry i was in training) but it wasnt me who did it. i only know about that after everything was well mixed together. so yeah. got more flour and stuffies. then after that we rolled out the dough. it's so cool ohkay! xD we were like using flour, and rolling it out with rolling pins and everything IT WAS SO COOL OMG XD haha then i dont think we had alot of time left so we were like rushing. i was rushing to put the dough into the aluminum cups, and prithi would fill it with spinach and onion and i think preetea filled it with egg (: great teamwork (: sabrina was just helping around (: and then we realised we had too much dough and not enough cups so mdm yante gave us a pie dish THANKS! (: but even after that we had wayyyy too much dough. and i though quiche you'd have to cover the top of it with a layer of dough but i guess i was wrong >< kena scolded by madam yante. keke.

then after that we ran out of spinach ._. how great ._. so that one was just filled with cheese and egg... oh yeah! prithi also helped put the cheese in. basically she put in the fillings lolx. then after that faster go bake. then i think we had to wash up and we were told that the water would be turned off for a while and so we had to was quickly -imitates Gary's SEU TEU RESS!!!!!!! (stress)- haha then as we were washing, the water got smaller and smaller and smaller >< then it stopped. luckily for me i was just about to take a new one to wash. for qistina she was washing halfway! :O so we dried up, and we didnt was the measuring cup. just dried it. hehe mianhe whoever uses it! >< then after that it was theory and stuff then yeah, the water came back on. how did we know? someone didnt off their tap so when the water came back on, a tap was like violently splashing water LOL.

then yeah, we were called for the rehearsal. and one thing i wanna say is that idk my role ohkay. the previous night i called serene to ask her about my role and stuff and she told me i was the camera woman as stated on facebook and i was like WHAT FACEBOOK GROUP. turns out that group was created by bitch amirah. i dont think she likes me... well, idk. i dont like her either :B but i know last year she used to stick to me like glue. esp that time when i sat with her -shudders- it's like before i can even go up to serene sarah and alisa to talk and then go to recess, amirah just asks me if i'd go with her and idk how to reject people like that so i was just like ohkay. and amirah completely spoiled our mood and recess. it's like she REALLY sticks to someone ohkay. it happened to josephine before. in the start of the year she transferred and i was like her partner and amirah was so called trying to 'steal' her away from me. i guess she was getting attention cos she was new and amirah wanted it too. smth like that. anyways, off topic. so yeah. i was just told to bring formal clothes but i ended up not performing. LOL didnt really want to anyways..

so yeah. while my group members went to the pwf, i was in the homeec room, washing up and waiting for the biggest quiche to cook cos it took damn long ohkay. i had to keep checking omg >< oh yeah., and before everyone left, mdm yante had to try it, and since i ate it too, i used that as my own quiche luh,. cos everyone got equal mah. it was good oso. i was running out of space in my lunch box. xP and everyone was saying it was damn nice. even dini was like leexian, can i buy a quiche from you? lolx xD haha but i ended up not selling it to her sorry~! >< it's not that i declined i think she forgot about it. lolx. and qistina's group made rainbow cupcakes! it's really nice! hehe

oh yeah, because the egg and everything spilled out alot, it hardened on the baking tray and you know that when that happens we have to soak it in water right? keke. and yeah... well, i owe kelly money. hehe cos i went to my class's store to buy marshmallows (: cos i was waiting for everything to soften. and then the thing is, idk why but i couldnt find everyone's boxes. so i borrowed money from mdm yante (my wallet's in class.) to buy a container cos she needed me to pack up alr. but after collecting everything, apparently according to sabrina, EVERYONE BROUGHT THEIR CONTAINERS. this cant be ohkay. it's either someone's lying or i couldnt find it. and i'm telling you i looked everywhere for it. i think someone's lying >< but then again, it could always be a misunderstanding. we have to pay mdm yante back though.

oh yeah! and when we were waiting for our food to cook, mdm yante was talking about whether she wanted to push our ca to wekk 2, but that means missing a supermarket trip that seemed very fun so yeah. we didnt wanna. and one funny thing is that cos when the water was cut, i think someone was asking siti why there was no water and she was like ❝THE WATER IS CUT. WHAT DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND!?❞ lolx  xD it's damn funny ohkay. then when she asked mdm yante if we were walking to the supermarket, she was like ❝no ah, no ah, we crawl❞ HAHA DAMN FUNNY OHKAY. XD then i think aqilah was like she's getting back at your for being a bitch. xD

then when everything was over, i left and went back to class. but i wrote a note for those people. and then in class i let serene and.. i think only serene lolx try my quiche. and one thing, EVERYONE KEEPS ASKING ME WHAT A QUICHE IS. i know what a quiche is but idk how to explain ><

so yeah. then after that we left and kelly was trying to sell her last bits of popcorn so i owe her 1.30 keke she thought i was gonna take it for free. DONT WORRY KELLY. I'M NOT THAT KIND OF PERSON. LOL. then amirah was giving out the shark cookies from 2/2 i ordered one from the class list and one from falisha. and i was like i thought i have two? then like when i was at the bus stop, jayashree called me saying that amirah wanted to talk to me and it was because i have to get the other cookie from falisha so i have to return the cookie to her on friday... so yeah. and that day i didnt have training! cos coach wasnt free ):

anyways, yeah, i guess that's pretty much my experience for making quiche lolx. we thought it'd be a failure >< btw, the shark cookie was nice (: and karen told me i missed out on free bubble tea... sigh. cant do anything so nevermind ):
